API Endpoint

POSThttps://api.segmind.com/v1/p-image-try-on

Parameters

garment_imagesrequired
string[]

Array of garment image URLs, up to 11; each adds cost. Use clean flat-lays.

person_imagerequired
string (uri)

URL of the person photo to dress. Use a clear, front-facing full-body shot.

Default: "https://segmind-resources.s3.amazonaws.com/input/p-image-try-on-person.jpg"
output_formatoptional
string

Output image format: webp, jpg, or png. Use png for lossless, webp for size.

Default: "png"
output_qualityoptional
string

Compression quality 0-100 for jpg/webp. Use 90-95 for crisp results.

Default: 95
preserve_input_sizeoptional
boolean

Returns output at the original input resolution. Enable to match source dimensions.

Default: false
promptoptional
string

Optional text guiding which garment to use from busy images. Leave blank for flat-lays.

Default: ""
reference_poseoptional
string (uri)

Experimental pose image URL to reposition the person. Retry seeds if results fail.

seedoptional
string

Random seed for reproducible results. Set a fixed value to repeat outputs.

Default: 12345
turbooptional
boolean

Enables faster generation with optimizations. Avoid for more than four garments.

Default: false

Response Type

Returns: Image

Asynchronous requests (v2)

Use Async for video, long-running (>~60s), or high-concurrency workloads; Sync is simplest for fast image & LLM calls. Async submits a request and you poll it to completion.

  1. 1
    POST /v2/p-image-try-on

    Submitreturns request_id, status_url, response_url

  2. 2
    GET /v2/requests/{id}/status

    Polluntil COMPLETED or FAILED

  3. 3
    GET /v2/requests/{id}

Status states

QUEUEDAccepted, waiting for a worker
PROCESSINGRunning on a worker
COMPLETEDDone — result body is ready
FAILEDErrored (incl. content/RAI blocks)
  • A FAILED request is served as HTTP 422 — the body still carries the error detail.
  • An unknown or expired request_id returns HTTP 404.
  • Results are retained for 1 hour, then expire.
  • Content / RAI blocks surface as FAILED, not a separate state.
  • Track completion by polling the status endpoint.
