Segmind Double Capsule
Re-shoot footage you already have. Give Segmind Double Capsule a clip, a reference image and one sentence, and get the same take in a new location, light or season, or with a swapped prop. Seedance 2.5 edit keeps the performance and camera move. 10-bit, at your clip's exact length.
Same take. New world.
Segmind Double Capsule is video-to-video for filmmakers, editors and VFX artists. Your footage drives every frame: the actor's performance, timing, framing and camera move come from your clip, and everything around them comes from your reference image and one sentence. Built on Seedance 2.5 in edit mode, at 1080p.
What changes: your reference image
The reference sets the new look: location, light, time of day, season, weather, colour, or a prop. Use a location photo, a mood frame, or one frame of your shot changed in any image editor (the lamp already swapped, the street already at night). Then say the change in a sentence, for example "Change the setting to the back room of a 1920s jazz club: blue haze, warm brass table lamps; keep his cigarette smoke."
What stays: your actor
Name who stays in Keep, for example "the man in a white shirt, tie and suspenders". They keep their performance, timing, framing and camera move, with nobody new added. Double Capsule runs Seedance 2.5 as an edit of your clip rather than generating a fresh shot from a description, so the new take still cuts with the rest of your scene.
Made for real work
- Film: lock the performance and move the scene: new location, day for night, a new season.
- Commercial: change the brief, keep the footage: new set, new product, new mood.
- Product and brand: one shoot, many campaigns. Swap props like for like.
- Previs: turn grey clay or blockout renders into photoreal shots that keep the animation.
How to use it
- Upload your clip (4 to 30 seconds).
- Upload a reference image of the new look.
- Describe the change in one sentence.
- Say who to keep.
- Leave Smooth retime + grain match on (the default), or switch it off for Seedance's raw take.
- Run. A 5-second clip takes about four minutes.
What you get
- New shot: 1080p, 10-bit HEVC, the same aspect ratio as your clip, stretched back to your clip's exact length and frame rate with your clip's sound, so it drops straight onto the original in an edit.
- Smooth retime: Seedance plays about 5% fast. Stretching it back would normally show some frames twice, a small stutter; Double Capsule draws an optical-flow in-between in each of those slots instead.
- Grain match: your camera's grain is measured and the missing part added back, so the new shot cuts in beside real footage. Clean, low-grain footage gets nothing added.
- Switch off Smooth retime + grain match and you get Seedance's take exactly as it made it: about 5% shorter than your clip, with no sound.
Pricing
Pay per shot, no subscription. A 5-second 1080p shot costs about $3.69 ($3.39 for Seedance 2.5 and $0.30 for the finish, which runs with the switch on or off). Longer clips scale with length, up to 30 seconds per run. Every template is also an API, so you can run Double Capsule from your own pipeline.
Tips
- You pay for every second of the clip, so trim it to the shot you need.
- The closer your reference matches the shot's framing, the closer the result follows it.
- Swap props for similar-looking ones (a desk lamp for a banker's lamp) so the actor's hands still fit.
- Mention what must survive the change, such as smoke, rain or reflections.
