How this tricks a model NOT following references
A model hallucinating or blending generically might put the mug + cactus on a marble surface (defaulting to image 2's background) or a windowsill (image 3's background) It might drop in an apple because it's a "common table object" A model truly tracking image 1 = background source, image 2 = object A, image 3 = object B will get it right; anything else reveals the failure mode clearly
