Seedance 2.5 Upscaled is priced by output resolution (720p, 1080p or 4K; default 1080p) and video length (4–30 seconds). The model renders your shot with Seedance 2.5 and upscales it to the resolution you choose; the price below is the whole price of the video you receive.
Price per 5-second video
From a text prompt or an image. Longer or shorter videos scale with their length.
| Output | 16:9 | 4:3 | 1:1 | 3:4 | 9:16 | 21:9 |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| 720p | $0.70 | $0.69 | $0.67 | $0.69 | $0.70 | $0.70 |
| 1080p | $1.56 | $1.57 | $1.56 | $1.57 | $1.56 | $1.56 |
| 4K | $3.98 | $4.01 | $3.98 | $4.01 | $3.98 | $4.00 |
Longer videos
| Output (16:9) | 5s | 10s | 15s | 30s |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 720p | $0.70 | $1.40 | $2.10 | $4.20 |
| 1080p | $1.56 | $3.11 | $4.67 | $9.34 |
| 4K | $3.98 | $7.97 | $11.95 | $23.90 |
Video-to-video
When you attach reference videos, their length is billed too, alongside your output (with a minimum of two-thirds of the output length, rounded up). Every reference video counts.
| Output (16:9) | Output length | Reference length | Price |
|---|---|---|---|
| 1080p | 5s | 5s | $1.84 |
| 1080p | 10s | 10s | $3.68 |
| 4K | 5s | 5s | $4.69 |
Upscaled vs. native Seedance 2.5
A 5-second 1080p video (16:9) costs $1.56 here, against $2.94 rendered natively at 1080p on Seedance 2.5: about 47% less. 4K is available only here. Choose native Seedance 2.5 when you need the model's own detail at full resolution (fine text, small faces in wide shots); choose upscaled for sharp delivery at a lower price.
Credit Holds vs. Your Final Charge
When a request starts, Segmind places a temporary hold on credits. When it completes, the hold is settled at the actual price and the rest returns to your balance immediately. Failed generations are not billed. If the upscale itself cannot complete, you receive the video at the resolution it was rendered at and pay the lower price for it.
Important Notes
- Audio is free and is kept in the upscaled video.
- Aspect ratio is not a meaningful cost lever: every ratio at a given resolution prices within about 1% of the others.
- 480p output, draft mode and regional routing are not offered on this model; use Seedance 2.5 for those.
- Prices are close estimates: the final charge follows the exact amount of video processed and can differ by 1–2%.
Cost Optimization Tips
- Iterate on Seedance 2.5 at 480p, deliver here: lock your prompt and seed cheaply, then render the final at 1080p or 4K.
- 1080p is the sweet spot: about 47% less than native 1080p.
- Trim reference videos to the part you need; their length is billed.
- Match duration to the shot: price scales with every second.
Example Scenario
A team delivering 30 videos a day at 9:16, 1080p, 5 seconds spends about $46.71/day here, against $88.14/day rendering natively at 1080p on Seedance 2.5.
