Pruna P Video Edit Serverless API

Edit video from a text prompt, keep original motion.

POST /v2/p-video-edit · submit + poll

 6# run() blocks up to 600s; submit_async + job.wait(timeout=...) sets a longer
7# deadline and keeps the request_id so you can re-poll later.

API Endpoint

POSThttps://api.segmind.com/v1/p-video-edit

Parameters

promptrequired
string

One short, explicit edit instruction, e.g. change an attribute, swap an object, replace the environment.

videorequired
string (uri)

Source video to edit (mp4, up to 15 seconds). Its motion, framing and structure are preserved.

draftoptional
boolean

Draft mode renders a faster, lower-quality preview at the cheaper per-second rate. Turn off for the final full-quality edit.

Default: false
imagesoptional
string[]

Optional reference images (up to 4; jpg, jpeg, png, webp) to guide the edit, e.g. a garment, product or scene to match.

prompt_upsamplingoptional
boolean

Let the model expand your instruction into a richer edit prompt. Turn off to apply the prompt literally.

Default: true
save_audiooptional
boolean

Keep the source audio track in the edited video.

Default: true
seedoptional
integer

Seed for reproducible output (0 to 2147483647). Use -1 or the random option for a fresh result each run.

Default: -1Range: -1 - 2147483647

Response Type

Returns: Video

Asynchronous requests (v2)

Use Async for video, long-running (>~60s), or high-concurrency workloads; Sync is simplest for fast image & LLM calls. Async submits a request and you poll it to completion.

  1. 1
    POST /v2/p-video-edit

    Submitreturns request_id, status_url, response_url

  2. 2
    GET /v2/requests/{id}/status

    Polluntil COMPLETED or FAILED

  3. 3
    GET /v2/requests/{id}

Status states

QUEUEDAccepted, waiting for a worker
PROCESSINGRunning on a worker
COMPLETEDDone — result body is ready
FAILEDErrored (incl. content/RAI blocks)
  • A FAILED request is served as HTTP 422 — the body still carries the error detail.
  • An unknown or expired request_id returns HTTP 404.
  • Results are retained for 1 hour, then expire.
  • Content / RAI blocks surface as FAILED, not a separate state.
  • Track completion by polling the status endpoint.
