API Endpoint

POSThttps://api.segmind.com/v1/pixverse-v6-reference-to-video

Parameters

promptrequired
string

Describe the video. Name references as @image1, @image2 … for reference_images and @video1, @video2 for reference_videos.

Default: "@image1 rolls @image2 out of the garage bay, throws a leg over the saddle and kicks the engine to life; exhaust smoke curls up and the rear wheel spins."
aspect_ratiooptional
string

Frame ratio. auto follows the references.

Default: "auto"
Allowed values :
"auto""16:9""4:3""1:1""3:4""9:16""2:3""3:2""21:9"
durationoptional
integer

Video length in seconds, 1-15. Ignored with reference videos.

Default: 5
Allowed values (15 total):
12345678910+5 more
generate_audio_switchoptional
boolean

Generate a soundtrack with the video. Raises the per-second price.

Default: false
qualityoptional
string

Output resolution. The per-second price rises with quality.

Default: "540p"
Allowed values :
"360p""540p""720p""1080p"
reference_imagesoptional
string[]

Up to 10 subject, character or background images (@image1, @image2 … in the prompt).

reference_videosoptional
string[]

Up to 2 clips, 15 seconds in total, for motion, camera or subject reference (@video1, @video2). The output takes the longest clip's length, duration is ignored, and a reference video doubles the per-second price.

seedoptional
integer

Fixed integer for reproducible outputs. Omit for random variation.

Range: 0 - 2147483647

Response Type

Returns: Video

Asynchronous requests (v2)

Use Async for video, long-running (>~60s), or high-concurrency workloads; Sync is simplest for fast image & LLM calls. Async submits a request and you poll it to completion.

  1. 1
    POST /v2/pixverse-v6-reference-to-video

    Submit — returns request_id, status_url, response_url

  2. 2
    GET /v2/requests/{id}/status

Poll — until COMPLETED or FAILED

  3. 3
    GET /v2/requests/{id}

    Result — final response body

Status states

QUEUED— Accepted, waiting for a worker
PROCESSING— Running on a worker
COMPLETED— Done — result body is ready
FAILED— Errored (incl. content/RAI blocks)
  • A FAILED request is served as HTTP 422 — the body still carries the error detail.
  • An unknown or expired request_id returns HTTP 404.
  • Results are retained for 1 hour, then expire.
  • Content / RAI blocks surface as FAILED, not a separate state.
  • Track completion by polling the status endpoint.
